Requeijão is a milk-derived product, produced in Portugal and Brazil The Brazilian product is a type of cream cheese white in color. It has a mild taste and its consistency can vary from creamy solid, like the Catupiry, to liquid. Traditionally associated with the state of Minas Gerais, the mineiro presence in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo from the start of the 20th century on popularized it and nowadays it is produced all over the country. Its most common variant is requeijão cremoso, with a consistency similar to that of condensed milk; usually sold in glasses or plastic cups, both generally re-employed by Brazilians as usual cups.

Here is a recipe which you can make at home.
Ingredients:
500 ml of milk
3 soup spoons of cornflour
2 teaspoon of salt
2 tablespoons of butter
1 can of reduced fat cream
250 g of ricotta
Instructions:
Dissolve the cornflour in the milk cook until it get thicker, always steering.
Dissolve the from the stove and add the butter, reduced fat cream, ricotta and salt and mix in a blender.
Place the mix into containers and put into the fridge. It can also be frozen.
